The lack of Privacy in modern society, and how it will hurt us all

If we as americans are comfortable in this present time, we are not true Americans. The lack of Privacy seem a bit overboard, from my point of view, which I can't say I'm right,  nor can anyone tell me I'm wrong,  when I say that our very freedom,  fought for by our forefathers , is in jeopardy, and only time will tell when and if we are willing to do the same to keep it.

It seems like we hear about politicians who are not getting a good reputation by the media outlets, for various reasons.   There are some better stories that are raunchier, or more lewd, even more revealing than this one.

Here in Stockton, California, a new scandal has broke, allegedly involving two reports form the cities newspaper owned by Dow Jones.  A few of the papers' writers also have some blog called: esanjoaquin.com.  On this blog one reporter has accused the Mayor, Anthony Silva, of some trumped up jargonistic charge.  This reporter is claiming the Mayor's private email suggests that he has done something new,  and discredits the Mayor, giving a legitimate reason as to why he said what he said.

If you've ever had the feeling that your privacy was being violated, then you should agree that some stuff is meant to stay private.  Especially if and when the information obtained, it was obtained through illegal activities.  In this case the reporter has gone too far passed the point of intrusion.  This criminal like behaviour should be seen in the same light as tresspassing, mail tampering, and many other hacking charges or even espionage would serve the reporter justice.

If we're allowing them to say we don't have the Right to privacy, it is basically an advanced intimidation tactic, which causes some to live in fear, contemplating; what do they know?  Just look at the game decided most important to the worlds wealthiest; it would obviously be politics at every level.  This is where the elite share the riches we work for.

Sounds a bit like slavery to me!

With this beastly force that's oppressing the inhabitants of earth, by any means necessary, to ensure the truth cannot be heard.  When great leaders who emerge from the masses,  representing the masses, they are first offered a buyout, if this is refused it leads to scandals and manipulations or lies about the candidate/politician, which then cause the people to reduce the value of their judgement.   Also most of these people are manipulated by the propaganda providers, and therefore encourage the dismantling of their own community.

Know this Stockton, Anthony Silva is doing the best job he can but he needs our help to push the oppressors back.  Stop supporting mock journalism.   A true journalist will not bias a particular party or person, because they that do, are willing to lie, or cover up the truth for political gain.  This is a major disservice to its readers and the community in which they report, by leading us astray.

Stop supporting fraudulent journalism,  that helps corrupt politicians hide, yet exposing stuff that has no interest in the public atmosphere.  If you enjoy your privacy help protect your own by sticking up for those whose privacy has been breached.  If we don't, it will sooner or later be your turn to have yours breached as well.

I will be there for all of the people who are having their rights trampled, because if you don't stand up for your rights, we will all lose them.  Give yourself the respect that you have as an American and help protect the land of the free, and the home of the brave!

Jerry Brown Announces Multi-Billion Dollar Bay Delta Plan

By Lucy Ma | California, Energy and Water, Headline, Issues, States

Today, Governor Jerry Brown and U.S. Interior Secretary Ken Salazar formally announced the Bay Delta Conservation Plan. The BDCP is a controversial multi-billion dollar project aimed at fixing California’s ongoing “water war” over the Sacramento- San Joaquin Delta.

The proposal includes constructing a pair of underground tunnels designed to move water through the Delta at 9,000 cubic ft. per second to the south toward cities and millions of acres of farmland. It also includes plans for extensive habitat restoration as an effort to balance the needs of water users against eco preservation.

In a joint release issued earlier today:

“A healthy Delta ecosystem and a reliable water supply are profoundly important to California’s future,” said Governor Brown. “This proposal balances the concerns of those who live and work in the Delta, those who rely on it for water and those who appreciate its beauty, fish, waterfowl and wildlife.”

“As broken and outdated as California’s water system is, we are also closer than ever to forging a lasting and sustainable solution that strengthens California’s water security and restores the health of the Delta,” said Secretary Salazar. “Through our joint federal-state partnership, and with science as our guide, we are a taking a comprehensive approach to tackling California’s water problems when it comes to increasing efficiency and improving conservation. Today marks an important step forward in transforming a shared vision into a practical, effective solution. With California’s water system at constant risk of failure, nobody can afford the dangers or costs of inaction.”

Freedom of Speech has no limitations, nor should we allow any!

Free speech must be used with care
Stockton Record: Letters to Editor 10/9/12

The right to express our views is a vital and valuable element of our society, but it does not allow anyone to falsely shout fire in a theater, make threatening phone calls, or instigate chaos in the U.S. and abroad. Freedom of speech assumes a level of responsibility. It does not imply the right to willfully do harm.

In the current case of the film that is causing violent uprising among followers of Allah, it could be considered as a hate crime or the equivalent of an act of terrorism. Actors in the film had voice-overs added after they had completed their scripted roles. These voice-overs had a specific intent that was magnified when the film was circulated through mass media. This action suggests a use that goes beyond the realm of free speech, and yet the man behind the anti-Islam movie is having his right to free speech protected.

Watch the Video Here!

Such reluctance opens a huge door of opportunity for irresponsible and reckless abuse of a right. It goes beyond protecting that right, and could allow extreme and dangerous misuse of our privilege. Specific responsibilities and limits to this freedom need to become common knowledge to prevent these types of outrageous acts. As a result of the anti-Islamic film, years of international diplomacy and respect are being converted to hate, violence, and destruction. Without restrictions, responsibility and restraint, this right could be used for other incredible and intentional wrongs.

Ruth,
Thank you for voicing your opinion of the way you feel we should watch what we say, otherwise we have to put limitations on our speech. All responsibility of Free Speech resides on the Listener, whoever it is that is receiving the message. Whether I speak with dignity, or blasphemy, I have the first Amendment right, which allows me to speak my mind, regardless of taste.

Now don't get me wrong, there is a line that one crosses, when the listener has any negativity due to what someone else said, should probably go seek some form of therapy. I was raised being told:

"Sticks and Stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me!"

We need to stick up for our fellow Americans and our freedom of speech, because we are one of very few country's that protect its citizens speech with law. I would not worry about how a few Muslim cry-babies are rioting and looting because of what was said. The media is using the instability in the middle-east to try to convince us that it would be for our own benefit to get rid of the first Amendment all together.

Ruth, please don't believe everything your little black box tells you. They have a corporate conflict of interest, and its not for our benefit. Down with the Mass Media! Remember, Feelings Don't Exist!

Risk and ambition: Stockton's bankruptcy a morality tale for cities around the nation

By Eric Schulzke, Deseret News

Sworn police staffing in Stockton, Calif. dropped from 1.52 per 1,000 residents in 2005 to 1.16 today.
Ben Margot, Associated Press

This is part one in a two-part series.

Read part two: Pixie dust: How Stockton gambled its way from bad to worse.

STOCKTON, Calif. — The marina is beautiful, sparkling and new. So are the baseball park and the hockey arena, home to the Stockton Ports and the Stockton Thunder. Across the street is a stunning refurbished historic theater. The facilities glisten in the evening August sunshine, while teenagers do backflips off a pier and children fish for bass.

A stone's throw away is Stockton's City Hall. Above the entrance is an "All-American City" banner, reflecting faded glory from awards won in 1999 and 2004, but beneath the banner the lamp post foundations are badly cracked. It's one of many clues around the city that something has gone badly awry here.

Wells Fargo repossessed an eight-story office building meant to be a new city hall earlier this summer. The city had defaulted on its loans. The bank also seized underperforming parking garages, which the city built when boom times seemed here to stay.

At a city council meeting in that fading city hall on that warm August evening, the word "bankruptcy" is never mentioned but lies heavy in the air.

RON PAUL: We'll wait for the vote count in November!

The RNC officials wouldn't even mention Ron Paul's name from the podium. We are being lied to and cheated, by these "GOP" pricks, as well as the whole left side of the aisle.
